Coffee Hour

This is a great opportunity to serve and offer hospitality to fellow members of St. Andrew’s. Hosts are asked to provide treats, set up, serve, and clean up.  Coffee and tea are provided. Click here to sign up online.

Where has the regular in-person coffee chat gone?

Since we opened the church again in July, we have had a small group of volunteers who helped make sure that we had a weekly coffee time in-person in McLachlan Hall.  Since they were unable to find replacements to give them a break, we began the on-line sign up.  We finally realized that that wasn’t working either, so I, as your Senior Warden, decided that we just need to wait a little longer to have regular weekly in-person coffee chats.  We don’t want to give it up, since some really enjoy being together to safely socialize and it is a great way to meet visitors or those new to St. Andrew’s, so for now we will plan to have one each month.  It is a work in progress.  We are also still having virtual coffee hour on Zoom at noon each Sunday.

Hospitality Team

We are a community that embraces welcoming all and feasting together – in other words, we love a good party! The hospitality team is always looking for volunteers to help with setting up and serving for various activities including the newcomer brunch, holiday & special events, and memorial services. We are searching for a new leader for this important ministry.

Funeral Volunteers

Funerals and memorial services are important events in the life of a parish community.  We endeavor to honor the deceased person and minister to the grieving family. Our parish community will be celebrating six (6) funerals in the next few months (Jun-Aug)  We need volunteers who can welcome and check-in guests, assist with the funeral liturgy, and help with the outdoor reception.  We also need parishioners to donate cookies and other treats. The funerals are currently scheduled for Saturdays in July and August.  If you can help, please contact Fr. Rich at richw@saintandrewsseattle.org.
