“Is any one among you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.” -James 5:14
Since the time of the early church, lay healers have been called from the community. At St. Andrew’s, healing ministers serve on the first Sunday of every month, at the 8 and 10am morning services, as well as at the 5pm Contemplative service. Healing ministers are stationed near the communion rail and offer special healing prayers, laying on of hands, and anointing to those who request this spiritual support.
Those who serve in the healing ministry receive specific training for this ministry. If you would like more information or if you would like to explore participating in this ministry please contact us.
