Please join us for a parish-wide celebration of the re-launch of our third Sunday service on the first Sunday of each month!

This contemplative service with music in the style of taizé will be offered on the first Sunday of every month in the nave of our church building. It features singing, silence, candle lighting, and communion. Our new Youth Quartet will help support congregational singing. Even if you typically attend a morning service, we encourage you to join this special parish celebration. Please mark your calendars now and join us as we expand our Sunday worship experience!

We have a great core of singers to start, but there are openings for more singers to fill in the Youth Quartet each month. Please email Fr. Rich (richw@saintandrewsseattle.org) if you or someone you know would be interested!

The Pandemic is still affecting food availability not to mention rising costs at the grocery store. St. Andrew’s parishioners have given generously from their abundance before, and we can do it again! Many of our brothers and sisters in need depend on the food bank to put nourishing food on the table for their family. Let’s overflow the Narthex with food donations during the season of Lent!

Starting Ash Wednesday, March 2nd, please bring non-perishable foods to church. There will be labeled bins in the Narthex. **See specific list of goods needed below.** Thank you in advance for your generosity!

If you would like to make a monetary donation to FamilyWorks directly, click here to pay by credit card online, or mail cash or a check made payable to: FamilyWorks to P.O. Box 85420, Seattle, WA 98145. Monetary donations at this time of year go to the general food bank, but also to a special order of PIES for our neighbors!

When you make a donation of food, neighbors and families gain access to much needed resources. In turn, this can also:

  • reduce anxiety from food and resource insecurity,
  • improve health and well-being,
  • and provide an increased sense of stability.

PLEASE REMEMBER:

Yes:

  • Non-perishable, unopened cans and packages of food
  • Fresh produce

No:

  • Opened food
  • Cooked food
  • Homemade baked goods or other products, including canned goods from home
  • Cans that are rusted or dented

Focus on these food items for donation:

Condiments: (most food is bland and condiments are costly)
Spices
Hot sauces
Salsa
pickles
Crackers
COFFEE – 1 lb bags, ground
Black and Green tea
Soups – not condensed
Shelf stable non-dairy milk
Cooking oil (smaller bottles – not huge 1 gallon ones)
Canned fruit

The Inquirer’s Class will be on Sundays from 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM on Zoom, March 6 – April 24 (no class on Easter Day, 4/17). The focus of the Inquirer’s Class will be: What does it mean to be a Christian? What does it mean to be Episcopalian? What does it mean to be a member of St. Andrew’s? This course is for youth and adults who want to deepen their faith and is also required if you wish to be confirmed, received or re-affirmed by Bishop Rickel at Cathedral Day on May 7th at St. Mark’s Cathedral. Please contact Mo. Danáe if you are interested in attending at danaea@saintandrewsseattle.org.

Escape from the problems of the world by competing in “Lent Madness” this year! Lent Madness is a unique Lenten devotion that is a fun, engaging way for people to learn about the church’s Calendar of Saints who are honored during the 40 days of lent. The format is straightforward: 32 saints are placed into a tournament-like single elimination bracket. Each pairing remains open for a set period of time and people vote for their favorite saint. Saints are eliminated until one winner is left. That person is awarded the coveted Golden Halo! You can read about the devotion here About Lent Madness | Lent Madness – You decide who wins the Golden Halo. Get your 2022 bracket here Bracket 2022 | Lent Madness – You decide who wins the Golden Halo. We hope you’ll participate fully this Lent and vote with reckless abandon!
