Through the Teen Feed program (www.teenfeed.org), St. Andrew’s provides a hot meal for homeless teens in Seattle’s University District on the third Wednesday of each month.
Three kinds of volunteers are involved in the Teen Feed program:

(1) Meal-Team volunteers (such as the St. Andrew’s volunteers) prepare and serve the meal.

(2) Advocate volunteers are present during the Teen Feed meal, building relationships with the youth. Advocates must undergo special training and each advocate is assigned an experienced mentor.

(3) Ally Volunteers assist mainly with guest registration and the distribution of basic-need items such as toiletries, socks, gloves, etc.
