Through the Teen Feed program (, St. Andrew’s provides a hot meal for homeless teens in Seattle’s University District on the third Wednesday of each month.

**Teen Feed as we’re used to it is on break at St. Andrew’s during Covid-19. However…

Teen Feed is seeking cookie bakers!

It would be great to have people volunteer to provide cookies for Teen Feed. I would like two people per month, 70 cookies each. Contact me ( to get details and sign up. It is once a month, the 3rd Wednesday until we can start cooking ageing at church. St Andrew’s has been catering food this year during the pandemic. I will keep a schedule through the end of the year or pandemic, whichever comes first. Thank you! ~Denise Hartinger

Three kinds of volunteers are involved in the Teen Feed program:

(1) Meal-Team volunteers (such as the St. Andrew’s volunteers) prepare and serve the meal.

(2) Advocate volunteers are present during the Teen Feed meal, building relationships with the youth. Advocates must undergo special training and each advocate is assigned an experienced mentor.

(3) Ally Volunteers assist mainly with guest registration and the distribution of basic-need items such as toiletries, socks, gloves, etc.
